The Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) issues this statement with reference to the latest government data on police numbers published yesterday.
The Productivity Commission released its Report on Government Services (ROGS) 2023, which shows that the ACT has the lowest number of operational policing members out of all Australian jurisdictions.
AFPA President Alex Caruana said that ROGS data again showed the ACT well and truly lagging behind the rest of the country in the critical areas of funding, resourcing and capability.
