The Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) supports the possible industrial action planned by the Police Association of New South Wales (PANSW), which would see NSW Police officers cease any cooperation with Commonwealth agencies or departments unless the matter created a risk to a person’s life or their physical and mental wellbeing.
AFPA President Alex Caruana said the Federal Government tended to forget that it had responsibility for all of Australia’s law enforcement workforces, and that the AFPA saw the consequences of this lack of action every day in its interactions with members.
