Did you know?
Your Membership Team deploys dedicated welfare support should you suffer unexpected illness or other unfortunate circumstances outside your control during 2023. This is included in your AFPA membership, and each welfare solution is tailored to your unique situation.
Should you be experiencing significant health concerns, we encourage you to reach out and start a conversation with the AFPA. If your condition falls under our insurance policy, you may be eligible to make a claim. Our team makes this a simple and seamless process and offers additional welfare support during this time.
You can also advocate on behalf of a team member; once you have reached out to us and let us know – we can jump in and do the administrative heavy lifting.
There are a few ways to start the ball rolling; call or email us at the AFPA National Office or reach out to your AFPA Convenor or Delegate; they would welcome the opportunity to help support you.
Financial pressure continues to be of concern to our members. As the year progresses, if your financial situation has become precarious, you may be able to access financial support from the AFPA. You can also take advantage of the savings within the AFPA Member Advantage Portal – every little saving adds up! For example, did you know you can save 3% off Wish Gift Cards? You can use these at Woolworths Supermarkets, Woolworths Metro, BIG W, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and EG Ampol fuel sites. This is just one simple way to take small actions that add up to significant savings over the course of the year*.

Tharwa Valley Forge
The AFPA was thrilled to partner with Tharwa Valley Forge at Cuppacumbalong Homestead in 2022 – AFPA members who attended found this an invaluable and uplifting experience. Late last year, we were honoured to present owners Ali and Karim, along with Amanda (who took on the tricky task of coordinating the attendance of our members), with a certificate and a small token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication supporting and empowering many of our vulnerable members.
